In the late summer of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Geordyn A. Owens was tragically cut short on a street in Indianapolis, Indiana. On the evening of Saturday, September 9, 2017, Owens, a male, was fatally wounded by gunfire. His death was part of a violent weekend in the city that claimed the lives of three other young individuals, including a middle school student.
