In the early morning hours of January 8, 2022, the life of 17-year-old Jamal Lewis was tragically cut short on the near northwest side of Indianapolis. Just before 1 a.m., police were called to the 3100 block of Bonham Drive, a residential street not far from Cardinal Ritter High School, following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a young man outside who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
