In the early morning hours of October 23, 2021, the life of 20-year-old Francisco Sandoval was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting on the east side of Indianapolis. Responding to a report of a shooting just after 1 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Lake Terrace West Drive, near the intersection of 21st Street and Mitthoeffer Road. There, they discovered Mr.
Sandoval and a woman inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced Francisco Sandoval dead at the scene. The female victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The Marion County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Mr. Sandoval's death was a homicide.
