On April 17, 2015, a violent incident occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana, resulting in the death of a local teenager. Kevin Lamont Cheeks, a 17-year-old male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the young man succumbed to his injuries and passed away that same day. The shooting took place in a residential area, prompting an immediate response from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
