Kevin was born on February 2, 1998, and was a student who had attended Howe High School. He was survived by a large family, including his father, Reginald Turner, and his mother, Renodia Cheeks, as well as his brother and sisters. Following his death, a visitation was held for him at the Eastside Baptist Church, and he was subsequently laid to rest at New Crown Cemetery. The community and his family mourned the loss of the Black / African American teenager, whose life was cut short by gun violence.
