In the spring of 2021, a quiet street on the near northwest side of Indianapolis became the scene of a somber discovery. On the afternoon of Friday, April 30th, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 5500 block of West 43rd Street. There, they found 57-year-old William Phillips Jr., a male resident of the city, with injuries that were described as being consistent with trauma.
