Montana Miquel Lopez, a 22-year-old freshman at Ball State University, tragically lost his life on June 19, 2021, in Muncie, Indiana. Lopez was attending a party at a home in the 1300 block of West Abbott Street when he was fatally shot in the neck shortly after 2 a.m. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The incident marked the sixth homicide in Muncie for the year 2021.
