In the early morning hours of July 21, 2021, the life of 26-year-old TreVell Antonio Patton, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting on the east side of Indianapolis. Responding to a call of a person shot at approximately 1 a.m., officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 6200 block of Nimitz Drive to find Patton suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to his injuries
