Luis Mercado Perez, a 31-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically shot and killed on the evening of August 27, 2021. The incident occurred at the Meadowlark Apartments, located in the 4200 block of North Wittfield Street on the city's northeast side.
