On December 30, 2017, 22-year-old African American male Larry Williams was fatally shot outside a daiquiri shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred during a violent day in the city, which saw four shootings within a ten-hour span. Another victim, 25-year-old Kenneth Franklin Jr., also lost his life in the same shooting.
