In the early evening of May 31, 2017, a sense of normalcy hung in the Baton Rouge air, soon to be shattered by an act of violence that would leave a family heartbroken and a community searching for answers. Donovan Robinson, a 25-year-old man, was inside his vehicle in the 5500 block of Washington Avenue when the sharp report of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood at approximately 7:20 p.m..
