A young man’s life was tragically cut short in an act of violence that stemmed from his own bravery. Jonathan Sam, a 25-year-old male, was fatally shot on November 10, 2016, at his place of employment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He worked at G&T Tires & Rims on the corner of Plank Road and Erie, a place that would become the scene of his untimely death. On that Thursday afternoon, Sam witnessed a customer being robbed and chose to intervene, a decision that would cost him his life.
