In the late morning of Friday, September 3, 2021, a grim discovery was made in a commercial area on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The body of 28-year-old Courdney Hines, a Black male, was found outside of an Office Depot on West 86th Street. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about an unresponsive person shortly before 10:45 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers found Hines with unspecified trauma to his body.
