In the evening hours of February 12, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a northeast side apartment complex in Indianapolis. When the echoes faded, 27-year-old Larez Montae Brown, a male resident of the city, was found gravely wounded. The shooting occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 10100 block of Ellis Drive.
