Megan E. Holt, a 31-year-old from Indianapolis, was found dead on November 12, 2017. Authorities discovered her body in an alley on the southwest side of Indianapolis. The incident was classified as a homicide, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) immediately began an investigation. Holt’s death was part of a particularly violent year for the city, as 2017 marked a record high for homicides in Indianapolis.
