William Romero, a 43-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was found dead on March 17, 2022. His body was discovered by a man walking his dog near Trilobi Drive and Lee Road, close to Fort Harrison State Park. The body was covered with leaves and other debris, indicating an attempt to conceal it. The Marion County Coroner's Office determined that Romero had been shot in the head, and his death was ruled a homicide.
