In the early hours of a Monday morning in Indianapolis, a tragic series of events left a family grieving and a community searching for answers. Edward Weaver Jr., a 35-year-old male, became the victim of a fatal shooting on March 21, 2022. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to a gas station on the east side of the city, in the 7900 block of East 38th Street, shortly before 3 a.m. following a report of a person shot.
