On November 18, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to reports of a shooting at a Phillips 66 gas station located at 8734 East Washington Street, on the city's east side. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Anthony Rome Harlin Jr. suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Harlin was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
