Michael “Mike Treez” Chappel, a 53-year-old prominent figure in the Indianapolis entertainment scene and community advocate, was fatally shot in a triple shooting on September 3, 2023. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of West 37th Street on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
