In the late hours of a Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the sound of multiple gunshots shattered the midnight quiet in the 300 block of West Rudisill Boulevard. When the echoes faded, a 20-year-old Black male named Tyshawn Lavette Eaton had been fatally wounded. Associates transported him to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, but he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The Allen County Coroner's office later ruled his death a homicide.
