On March 7, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Hugh Street in the East Central neighborhood of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 911 calls regarding shots fired in the area and found an adult male victim, later identified as 48-year-old Byron Keith Curry, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
