In the winter of 2014, a young Black man named Jonte' Ta'mond Wiley, 21, was fatally shot in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, December 22, 2014, at The Village of Hanna apartments, formerly known as the Eden Green Apartments, located in the 2100 block of Eden Street on the city's southeast side. Though not a resident of the complex, Wiley was reportedly involved in an argument that tragically escalated to gunfire.
