On December 22, 2014, 21-year-old Jonte Tamond Wiley was fatally shot at The Village of Hanna apartments, located in the 2100 block of Eden Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Following this tragic event, the Peace and Justice Commission of Allen County organized a "Heal the Land" service to honor his memory and address the community's grief.
