In the summer of 2022, the life of a young Indianapolis man was tragically cut short, leaving a family to mourn and a community to seek answers. Frederick Markece Miles Jr., a 23-year-old male, was killed on Friday, June 3, 2022, a victim of gun violence on the northeast side of the city. Known affectionately as 'Tuggie,' he was described by loved ones as a gentle and caring person with a big heart and an everlasting smile.
