On August 23, 2022, a violent confrontation unfolded in Albany, Indiana, a community located in Delaware County near Muncie, resulting in the death of 59-year-old male Gerald Lee 'Gary' Copley. The incident occurred outside Copley’s residence on East 500 North Road where he had lived for many years. Copley, known for his work as a mechanic and custodian as well as his love for drag racing and family, was found deceased in his driveway, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
