On June 24, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, Farmersville police responded to reports of a shooting near Visalia Road and Brundage Avenue in Farmersville, California. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Edwin Ariel Parra, a resident of Texas, inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Parra was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Parra succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on June 28, 2023.
The Farmersville Police Department subsequently initiated a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Detectives learned that prior to the shooting, Parra, along with an unidentified female, had traveled to Farmersville. However, specific details regarding their activities or purpose in the area remain undisclosed.
