Abdukadir Filanwaa, a 55-year-old taxi driver from Indianapolis, was tragically killed on September 10, 2022. Filanwaa, who had been serving his community for over two decades, was found shot to death in his taxi near 11th and New Jersey streets. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 4 a.m., when a 911 caller reported a cab parked with its doors open for an extended period.
