Shawn Hicks Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 30, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the city's northeast side. According to reports, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a call around 1:45 a.m. regarding a person shot near East 42nd Street and North Post Road.
