Alexander McKie Cochran III, also known as "Sandy," was a 27-year-old Virginia State Trooper who tragically lost his life on January 15, 1987, in Lorton, Virginia. Cochran was off duty at the time of his death, which occurred while he was responding to a domestic disturbance in his neighborhood. The incident took place at approximately 9:30 PM on Hagel Circle in Fairfax County.
