On December 31, 2022, Nahom Beyene, a 42-year-old resident of Lorton, Virginia, was found shot to death inside his home on Unity Lane. The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Beyene with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
