Eric Michael Nesbitt, a 21-year-old airman, was tragically murdered on August 16, 1996, in York County, Virginia. Nesbitt was abducted from a convenience store in Newport News by Daryl Renard Atkins and his accomplice, William Jones. The two men forced Nesbitt to withdraw money from an ATM before taking him to a remote location on Crawford Road, where he was shot and killed.
