On June 12, 1999, 16-year-old James "Jay" Harris Randall was fatally shot at the Four Seasons community clubhouse located at 1201 Herndon Parkway in Herndon, Virginia. Earlier that evening, Randall and 21-year-old Robert Clay had crashed a graduation party hosted by Shauntai Bennett, leading to a physical altercation that disrupted the celebration.
