On a cold winter’s night in Dumfries, Virginia, the lives of two young men were tragically cut short. Romanno Avellino Head, a 22-year-old male, and his friend, Robert I. Morrison, also 22, were inside an apartment in the 3400 block of Allerton Court on January 2, 2002. The evening turned violent when all three men present were shot in the head in what police would later describe as likely being a drug-related assassination.
