On April 16, 2007, the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, was shattered by a horrific act of violence that claimed the lives of 32 people. Among the victims was Nicole Regina White, a 20-year-old female student from Smithfield, Virginia. A junior majoring in international studies with a minor in political science, she was in her German class in Norris Hall when the gunman, Seung-Hui Cho, opened fire.
