Leslie Geraldine Sherman, a 20-year-old student from Blacksburg, Virginia, tragically lost her life on April 16, 2007, during the Virginia Tech massacre. Leslie was a sophomore at Virginia Tech, majoring in history and international studies. She was known for her academic excellence and active involvement in various extracurricular activities, including running cross country and track, and serving as co-president of the History Honor Society.
