James S. Lee, aged 59, tragically lost his life on February 22, 2012, in Richmond, Virginia. Lee, an Army veteran who was receiving cancer treatments, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The incident occurred in the morning, and Lee was struck in the head and the eye. Despite being rushed to VCU Medical Center and placed on life support, he showed no brain activity and subsequently passed away.
