On April 6, 2024, at approximately 3:19 a.m., Richmond Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of North 23rd Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Kyron Hoskey, a former Hermitage High School and Virginia Union University football player, deceased inside a residence from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, a grand jury indicted 28-year-old Richmond resident Juwan Lewis in connection with Hoskey
