In the city of Norfolk, Virginia, a young man's promising future was tragically cut short on the cold night of January 11, 2013. Travis Lee Bryant, a 21-year-old Black male, was standing outside with friends in the 4900 block of East Princess Anne Road when gunfire erupted around 10 p.m. He was struck by multiple bullets.
