Kendrick Downing, a 23-year-old resident of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on February 3, 2013. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on a Sunday night when police responded to reports of a shooting in the 5300 block of Marlfield Drive. Upon arrival, they found Downing suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
