In the early morning hours of August 23, 2013, the life of 29-year-old Sakinah Myeshia Breathwaite of Chesapeake, Virginia, was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded in the parking lot of the Newmarket Square Shopping Center in Hampton. Just after 2:00 a.m., police officers who were already in the vicinity of the shopping center heard a gunshot.
