In the early hours of a summer morning in Hampton, Virginia, the life of 19-year-old Vinnesha Michelle Hunter was tragically cut short. On July 9, 2011, Hunter was in her home on Carolina Street when a bullet pierced through the kitchen window, striking her in the chest. She had returned home after spending the earlier part of the evening at a party with friends and family. The gunshot wound proved to be fatal, and the promising young woman's life came to an abrupt and violent end.
