On January 20, 2019, Tarnecia Shevon Smith, a 41-year-old resident of Hampton, Virginia, was found dead in her car following a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Nickerson Boulevard and Fox Hill Road. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered that Smith had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
