On a Tuesday evening in the Whitcomb Court neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, the life of Robert Lee Poag, a 29-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On September 24, 2013, at approximately 10:16 p.m., police responded to a call in the 2100 block of Deforrest Street. There, they discovered Poag, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
