On the evening of September 24, 2013, at approximately 10:16 p.m., Richmond Police responded to reports of a person down in the 2100 block of Deforrest Street, located in the Whitcomb Court area of Richmond, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Robert L. Poag, a resident of the 1300 block of St. James Street, deceased at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
