In the Highland Park neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, a burst of gunfire on the evening of December 11, 2013, shattered the night and left two men with life-threatening injuries. One of the victims was 20-year-old Kevin L. Dickerson Jr., a resident of the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike. The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Third Avenue.
