In the early morning hours of May 16, 2015, the body of 36-year-old Juan V. Dehaney was discovered lying in the grass between two apartment buildings in the Hillside Court area of Richmond, Virginia. Richmond Police were called to the 1800 block of Southlawn Avenue at approximately 5:35 a.m. for a report of a person down. Upon arrival, they found Dehaney, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. At the time of the initial investigation, he was reported to have no permanent address.
