Three individuals were later identified and arrested by the Chesterfield County Police Department in connection with the crime. The investigation led to the apprehension of Jyaire V. Williams, Darrius M.
Adkins, and Karim M. Foster. The subsequent legal proceedings revealed the details of their involvement in the home invasion and murder of Farzad Sultani. The motive for the crime was determined to be robbery.
Following their arrests, all three men faced charges that included murder, robbery, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
