John A. "Lito" Nieves Jr., a 17-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 14, 2014. Originally from Massachusetts, Lito had been living in Newport News for two years and was about to begin his senior year at Warwick High School. His untimely death was the result of a drive-by shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Saunders Elementary School off Harpersville Road.
