On a cold winter's night in Newport News, Virginia, the life of 21-year-old Michael Marquice Samuels was tragically cut short. On January 27, 2020, in the 600 block of Ridley Circle, Samuels was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. The young man, a resident of the same block where he was found, was rushed to a nearby hospital by medics, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died shortly after arrival.
The Newport News Police Department promptly launched a homicide investigation
