On November 27, 2022, Shawn Grayson, a 31-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The Newport News Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:49 p.m. on the 900 block of 37th Street. Upon arrival, officers found Grayson with a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:56 p.m. .
