Theodore Dewayne Washington, a 28-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on March 9, 2015. Washington was shot in front of a residence in the 1500 block of Ivy Avenue. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:34 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing the gunman run into a nearby home, leading police to 25-year-old Miguel Jamal Nichols. Nichols was found inside the home and subsequently arrested.
