On a late summer evening in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 37-year-old Keith Evans, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 30, 2014, in the 2300 block of Fairfield Avenue, Evans was shot and fatally wounded. The call reporting the shooting came in to the Richmond Police Department at approximately 5:47 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Evans suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to VCU Medical Center, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injur ...
