Stratton Mitchell, a 20-year-old from Chesapeake, Virginia, tragically lost his life on April 25, 2015, during the first night of College Beach Weekend at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The incident occurred around 3:16 a.m. when emergency services received reports of a gunshot. Upon arrival, police found Mitchell suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2500 block of Atlantic Avenue.
